Please join us for worship this Sunday, August 3rd at the usual places and times: 8:30am at the Blanchardville site and 10:30am at the Hollandale site. Shannon Marion will be the guest leader.

Also remember that Sunday is the final opportunity this year to participate in our special Praise Worship Service series. It’s 9:45am-10:15am at the Blanchardville site.

There’s still time to register for Vacation Bible School, this Saturday, August 2nd. The theme is True North: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World. You may also register on that day when you arrive.

• Mission Monday work continues on Monday, 1-3pm.
• The monthly Coffee with Pastor will be Thursday, August 7th from 8:30-9:30 at the Bistro on Main in Blanchardville.

News and Information
There is a timely need for the following items – kits are being assembled now! (Donations may be dropped off at either church site.)
o Clean plastic bags
o Mild and Regular Bar Soap
o Combs
o Hand Towels
o Infant Socks
o Infant Receiving Blankets

The School Kits are Coming! It's time to gather school kit supplies for assembly in September. Donation buckets are available at both church sites. Each kit needs:
o 4 - 70 sheet notebooks wide or college ruled. No loose-leaf paper.
o 30 cm ruler
o 1 - pencil sharpener
o 1 - blunt scissors
o 5 - Unsharpened #2 pencils with erasers
o 5 - black or blue ball point pens (no gel ink)
o 1 - box of 16 or 24 crayons
o 1 - 2 1/2 " eraser

Gathering Expedition for 8th-12th graders: You have the opportunity to go on a weekend of fun at Lutherdale Bible Camp October 31-November 2. We will enjoy a Quake-like experience with the leaders of the National Youth Gathering (in Minneapolis in 2027). Come with your parents to a meeting on Wednesday, August 13 at 7pm in Hollandale to learn more about this exciting opportunity.

Confirmation: This year we will have Confirmation on Wednesday evenings from 6:30–7:30 pm. We will be meeting on 3 Wednesdays a month: one of those days will be either doing a service project, or a road trip to learn about other faith traditions, event opportunities, etc. There is a meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 3rd at 7:00 pm in Blanchardville to hear all about the new year. Reminder that Confirmation is open to all 7th and 8th graders.

Golf Outing: Anyone, especially 8th grade or up who would like to golf, meet me at Yellowstone on Monday August the 18th at 1:00 or text me, 608-341-5032, and we can set up a tee time. Let me know if you need a ride.

Save the Date! Hollandale Community Homecoming Dinner, a Fundraiser for New Hope Lutheran, Saturday, September 6 11am-12:30pm. Open to the Public. Reservations required.
